What can a plaintiff recover in an employment lawsuit?

Transcript

Depending on whether the claim is based in contract or a statutory right, an employee plaintiff can recover not only their damages, but sometimes attorney's fees, liquidated damages, compensatory damages, and punitive damages. It's very important, when you're doing any hiring or firing or training, that you understand what your obligations to these employees are and how you can run afoul of them.
