The best ways to prevent harassment in the work environment is to provide training to employees as to what harassment actually is and to be consistent in the enforcement of your policies with respect to harassment, such as discipline where you find harassment is taking place, and having an open door policy so employees feel comfortable talking to you when they feel like there is an issue that needs to be addressed.
